Dr Sam Baktash, Chiropractor (Bchiro, Bsc, Advanced Bio-Structural Correction, Paediatric Chiropractic, Animal Chiro)

Dr Sam is a very passionate chiropractor, giver and carer. She delivers excellence to every single person who comes under her care because she wants people to see how amazing chiropractic truly is. She is a mother to Aleecia and Rockee, and three fur babies named Mila, Gizmo and Tino. Sam loves being a mother, and she also loves being a chiropractor and helping people thrive, and be happy and healthy on all levels.

Dr Sam’s maternal instincts and her love and care for kids have led her to specialising in paediatric chiropractic. She has completed 85 hours of post-graduate education certified by the Chiropractors’ Association of Australia (National) Ltd, an approved assessing body of the Chiropractic Board of Australia in the field of Chiropractic Paediatrics. For Dr Sam, there’s nothing more satisfying than helping today’s children thrive, develop and progress optimally and she sees this in her practice every day.

Dr Dion Abayakoon, Chiropractor

Dion grew up in Whangaparaoa playing rugby and cricket, and as such has always been fascinated by the human body and how it works. This lead him to discover Chiropractic as a teenager while he was exploring ways to better perform in sports and in daily life. He graduated from the New Zealand College of Chiropractic in 2021 and he is ecstatic about being part of the Northcote community and making the North Shore an even greater place than it already is. Dion loves working with people from all walks of life, and he especially likes working with older adults to let them continue to do the things they love. He utilizes Diversified, Activator, Thompson, and Applied Kinesiology techniques in practice.

Tyrone Penning, Acupuncturist, Manual Therapist, Massage Therapist

Qualifications: BHSc. Chinese Medicine (Acupuncture), GDip. Qi Gong (Breath Training), GDip. Tui Na (Manual Therapy), ACC Treatment Provider

Tyrone focuses on addressing pain and acute injuries using a range of holistic techniques gathered from his experience in traditional Chinese medicine, modern health science, and osteopathic techniques. He has developed a unique approach to manual therapy, working to discover gentle and effective pathways to releasing stuck joints, contracted fascia and stagnant fluids.

His background started with a keen interest in mathematics, science, Chinese martial arts, and—by extension—the limits of human potential. Tyrone got his Bachelor’s of Health Science in 2012, majoring in Acupuncture. Since then, he has been working with integrative medical doctors, chiropractors, osteopaths, physiotherapists, and naturopaths to find better alternatives to modern health problems.

Tyrone is experienced in injury rehabilitation, chronic degenerative joints, chronic inflammation, intermittent fasting, cancer immune therapy and nutrition, heavy metal detoxification, autoimmune disease, and other chronic skin conditions.

Kate MacGregor, Senior Massage Therapist

Kate has been a massage therapist since 2008 and a yoga teacher since 2009. Kate holds Diplomas in Therapeutic Massage and Remedial Therapies, Yoga and Yoga Therapies, certification in Reiki 1, Craniosacral Therapy, Advanced myofascial and scar tissue release and Cryptology.

Kate began practice at the JustWorkout Gym and Wellness hub, working with professional bodybuilders and athletes. Kate’s therapies enabled her patients to remain fit and mobile assisting them to achieve their personal fitness and training goals.

Kate treats a wide range of injuries and mobility issues. Her experience includes rehabilitation, trauma, pre and post training treatments for events and competitions, as well as relaxation therapy. Kate is positive and empathic and prides herself on her professionalism

Kate is results driven and always seeks to attain the best outcome for her clients. Kate’s practice focuses on her clients feeling at ease from the minute they arrive for treatment. She adapts her massage treatments to combine a mixed firm massage pressure with neuro-muscular techniques.

Kate’s depth anatomical understanding of the body and its mechanics enables all clients to receive a bespoke tailored massage according to the specific needs of the patient.

Latisha Pinnington, Massage Therapist

Latisha graduated from The New Zealand College of Massage with a Health Sciences Dip. in Therapeutic Massage. She has served the community in the areas of sports recovery and enhancement, chronic pain, pre/post operative, biomechanical postural dysfunction and in the areas of stress and health management.

Latisha has a post grad in Applied Science and is currently specialising in face, jaw and neck disorders, commonly known as temporomandibular joint dysfunction or TMJ. A member of Massage Association NZ, Latisha is a great believer that muscular care is foundational to one’s health and wellbeing and paramount for high-performance goals and lifetime success.

Inbar is one of our receptionists at Revolution Chiropractic. With a strong passion for health and fitness, she is naturally drawn to individuals on a similar path of self-care. Meeting and connecting with those who prioritise chiropractic and acupuncture perfectly aligns with her own personal values.

Inbar grew up in Australia, travelled the world, lived and worked in London until falling in love with a Kiwi. For the past 17 years, she has been proud to call New Zealand her home. She is a mother of two teenagers and also has three fur babies. She is more than willing to cuddle your baby or indulge in playtime with your pet if they visit the clinic.

When Inbar is not in the gym, she’s out walking with her family and their beautiful Labrador. She loves discovering all the beautiful bush and beach walks in our area. Fleur Fernandez, Admin & Receptionist

Fleur’s journey began with a background in biomedical science and lab work during her honours. She quickly realised that her true passion lies in providing hands-on client care. This realisation led her to explore studying occupational therapy, which she discovered aligns perfectly with her interests and values. Being a receptionist at Revolution Chiropractic supports her love for healthcare, as joy comes from witnessing the positive impacts of healthcare through chiropractic care.

Beyond healthcare, Fleur enjoys dance, pottery, creating, reading, and baking. These creative outlets allow her to express herself and bring a sense of fulfilment to her life. Above all, creating a supportive and welcoming environment for our clients is a priority of Fleur’s, and she is dedicated to ensuring that your experience at our clinic is comfortable and enjoyable.
